Squeak-Pot
"Spueak-Pot" is a mix of copper sheet, copper tubing, powder coating, silver leaf, and found objects. The mice, made of cast brass, were discovered at a local antique shop and sit on the back and lid of the teapot. Silver leaf was added to the mice for a bit of contrast, making them stand out against the bright yellow powder coating on the body of the teapot.
The combination of materials and the placement of the mice create an unexpected and playful piece. "Squeak-Pot" invites curiosity and humor. It creates a narrative of the mice and their adventures of finding the piece of cheese.
